| Thanks to Xue for giving me the heads-up on this event. (Does SOYA stand for Start-of-Year Again?)
The SGCafe thread is here: http://sgcafe.com/showthread.php?t=54247
ElyC will also be having a speed batch for this event, in case anybody wants to take some time to think about who to cosplay for this event. ^^;
JANUARY/SOYA SPEED BATCH Order Period: 26 December - 2 January Expected Arrival: 26 January Number of Slots: 15 Additional Charge: $15
Anyway- here's just a thought. At the last SoY event, ElyC had a booth there to clear out our old stocks of costumes, boots, wigs (and possibly props and accessories as well). Do you guys want us to have a booth next year as well? (It just means having to go down early in a cab, carrying a motherload of stuff, but I guess between Ruka and I, we could manage. Somehow.)
And what do you want us to sell/do there? I mean, if you think you are unlikely to purchase a costume or a prop off the rack, then maybe we'll save ourselves the trouble and just bring a couple of pieces down for display purposes.
Will you also like to make your orders for the March batch then, and either turn up with your order forms already filled in, or have us help you take the measurements etc. idk. What do you guys think?

| I'm pretty sure it does mean that. And it's no problem informing you. =D When you are Kenshin's sis, you get to know these things pretty earlyAnd you should definately get a booth. What I'd do is buy something I think I could potentially use for another cosplay (finding Sweeney's neckrag is a headache). But for me, weapon props are a good bet that I'll buy them. I have an obsession for sharp, dangerous looking objects like SweeneyThough I'd say for the sake of convenience, I'd get them to do the order form first. And then go down that day to pick colour swatches. But for all those people who don't have measuring tape at home or are plain lazy we could have a stack of printed order forms and one or two people standby to take the measurements i wonder if anyone wants Edward Scissorhands[no moneys ] to even try and take their measurementsAs for the transportation of the props... I'll see if I can get Kenshin down with my father's van(small one) to help ya'all carry the stuff chances are he'll oversleep like a pig though He'll probably go just to take photos like a maniac anyway (He took over 1300 photos for Disneysea tokyo alone) | |

| I didn't know you are Kenshin's sister. LOL. Anyway, thanks for the offer. I'll let you know closer to the date to see if I'll need help carrying stuff. (Chances are, if the booths are too ridiculously expensive to rent, I wouldn't bother.)

| Guess you didn't read my intro thread *pouts* I know, kinda hard to tell huh? One of the easiest ways to see that we're similar is to poke us awake when sleeping. We always "Ughhhh" and den turn the other side and fall asleep again. We need continuous poking to fully awaken us.(though I doubt you'll ever fall into this situation) Yeah, so when you confirm get the booth, can sms me. Chances are if Kenshin is not going, then I'll be able to help carry(ex canoeist. quite strong). unless i oversleep like him | |

| Subject: SoYA Updates!! Sun Jan 25, 2009 12:05 pm | |
| TO ALL OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:
1. FEBRUARY BATCH If you have not received the notice, the February batch of orders have opened and will continue until 8 February or until all 25 slots have been filled up. Slots are filling up fast, so please hurry if you wish to place an order!
2. SOYA Elysium Cosplay will also be making an appearance at the SoYA event on 31st January. We will be selling accessories such as Vongola Rings, Air Gear emblems etc. Our booth number is B3. Please pay us a visit if you can!! You can place orders for costumes, boots, accessories and wigs over at our booth too.
3. SALE OF PRE-MADE AND SECOND-HAND COSTUMES/WIGS Some pre-made and second hand costumes and wigs will also be up for sale at our booth as well. Please refer to the list uploaded here (http://www.box.net/shared/z2p8ca2f96) for what will be sold and their prices.
4. COSPLAY BALL Also, Elysium Cosplay is currently in the midst of organizing a cosplay ball over at Hotel Rendezvous this late May. The date has yet to be confirmed as we are currently having a problem with funds and is not able to book the ball room just yet. At the moment, entrance is estimated to be $60 per person, with a free flow of soft drinks and no age limit for entry. Any amount leftover from paying for the venue will go into other logistics such as the printing of tickets.
Those who'd like to help out can make a deposit at our booth at SoYA. It will help us estimate the attendance for the event as well. Minimum deposit is set at $30. You can leave a higher deposit if you wish. A receipt will be given to you and the money will go solely to the ball. (In other words, if the ball is not going to happen, I'll refund you the full amount of what you've paid.) But until I can book the venue, I cannot confirm an exact date, and I can't refund you in the event that you can't make it for the event when the date is confirmed. (I'll definitely try to have it on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday evening though.)
However, if you are still keen on the idea, please drop by our booth at B3.
Last but not least, Elysium Cosplay will like to wish all our customers and their family a happy and prosperous Lunar New Year.
Regards, Tessie and Rukariel Elysium Cosplay
