I just received a 2008 1099-MISC form from a previous employer listing over $2000 in the "RENTS" box. I never received any such payment(s) as I simply worked in an office leased by my former company. I want to dispute this form, but the company has since gone out of business. Their phone has been disconnected and their corporate address is no longer valid. How do I go about correcting this issue?
